About Crisis
Registered Charity No. 1082947 · www.crisis.org.uk
Crisis is the national charity for people experiencing homelessness. They work side by side with thousands of people each year as they find ways out of homelessness, providing practical support to help people access benefits, healthcare services, and employment opportunities. Their goal is to relieve the huge pressure of homelessness by helping people find safe and affordable homes as quickly as possible.
Crisis prioritises supporting people who are facing the most complex barriers to ending their homelessness and often have nowhere else to turn. They also campaign for the changes needed to solve homelessness altogether.
Why we chose Crisis
The Rusty Rhinos began fundraising for charity on their very first rally in 2007. For the Moroccan Rally 2024, our sixth rally, we chose Crisis as our charitable partner. Every mile of the 5,061 we drove across France, Spain and Morocco was done with the knowledge that people were supporting the cause back home.
We set a target of £1,000. Thanks to 22 incredibly generous supporters, we raised £2,111, more than double the target. Every penny goes to Crisis and their work helping people find their way out of homelessness.
Thank you
To everyone who donated, shared our page, and cheered us on: thank you. The rally is our adventure, but the fundraising is the reason it matters beyond two people in a Land Rover getting lost in the Sahara.
